How They Work

PRP is platelet-rich plasma, and we can only use the PRP that’s found in your blood. We perform a standard blood draw with an IV to collect a blood sample which we will place in a unique device called a centrifuge.

The centrifuge uses gravitational forces and spins the blood sample rapidly for several minutes, which separates the PRP from the plasma. We then isolate the PRP and prepare it into a topical or injectable solution to use during your treatment process.

How It Works

Microneedling is a powerful and natural treatment on its own, but the results get even better when you add PRP or PRF to the process. PRF stands for platelet-rich fibrin and is also found in the blood. We obtain it the same way we obtain PRP. To begin the treatment, we will apply a topical numbing solution to your skin which will help maintain your comfort during the needling aspect of the treatment.

We will use the SkinPen, which is a pen-like device fitted with a sterile, single-use needle cartridge, and once it’s activated, we’ll glide it across your skin’s surface. The SkinPen will create tiny microchannels, which are also punctures and micro-injuries on the skin’s surface. Then, we will apply topical PRP or PRF after obtaining it from your blood to your skin. The PRP and PRF will absorb into those channels to help enhance your treatment results.

When To Expect Results

Patients typically notice the best results after scheduling at least three sessions spaced four weeks apart.

We can use these threads for hair restoration by injecting them into different areas of the scalp to accelerate hair growth and stimulate collagen and elastin production.
